FA Girls' Emerging Talent Centre

We are proud to hold a licence to deliver an FA Girls' Emerging Talent Centre (ETC) to help the next generation of female football stars flourish.

The ETC aims to produce female footballers of international calibre and has a track record of developing players who progress within the FA's talent development structure. We deliver across three age groups - U12, U14 and U16 - at which stage players move to more senior football.

The ETC focuses on individual player development and provides girls with high-quality coaching and support. Players are invited to attend two sessions each week, one session for technical football skills development and another for strength and conditioning and/or movement programme.

All sessions are delivered by FA-qualified football coaches or industry-qualified strength and conditioning and performance coaches. Sessions are delivered within the University campus, allowing access to high-quality facilities.

As part of the programme, ETC selected players will benefit from:

• high-quality football training sessions on a weekly basis
• weekly strength and conditioning programme appropriate to age and development
• access to a suite of injury and rehabilitation services delivered at the University
• full Teesside Sport training and matchday kit by Kukri
• opportunity to represent the club in an annual games programme against other ETC setups
• access to education services within sports nutrition and sports psychology
• opportunity to take part in the programme whilst playing for their grassroots club.

Trial dates for the 24/25 season are detailed below

U12s (School Years 6 and 7 in September 2024)

• Trials on Thursday 20 June and Friday 28 June from 6.00pm to 8.30pm at Teesside University, Teesside Sport, Olympia Building 3G Pitch, Victoria Road, TS1 3BA.

U14s (School Years 8 and 9 in September 2024)

• Trials on Friday 21 June and Wednesday 26 June from 6.00pm to 8.30pm at Teesside University, Teesside Sport, Olympia Building 3G Pitch, Victoria Road, TS1 3BA.

U16s (School Years 10 and 11 in September 2024)

• Trials on Wednesday 19 June and Thursday 27 June from 6.00pm to 8.30pm at Teesside University, Teesside Sport, Olympia Building 3G Pitch, Victoria Road, TS1 3BA

We strongly advise girls attend both sessions to ensure they acclimatise to the experience and perform their best over the two weeks. You will receive a confirmation email at the start of June at the latest to confirm attendance and that your daughters place has been booked.
